New Beginning Fellowship/Out Of Order Youth Ministry Rules
1. TREAT OTHERS WITH RESPECT AT ALL TIMES
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers Gal. 6:10
Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching Hebrews 10:25
Every person in our youth group is created by God and deserving of respect. Treat others as you would like them to treat you.
2. HELP AND ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Phil 2:3 Do your best to help everyone do their best. Give only positive, constructive feedback.
3. RESPECT AND HONOR INSTRUCTION THAT MAY BE GIVEN BY LEADERSHIP
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 2Tim. 2:15
Be good workers who are able to follow directions. The adult leadership has volunteered their time for your benefit and will not steer you wrong.
4. NO DRUGS, ALCOHOL, CIGARETTES OR ENERGY DRINKS WILL BE ALLOWED AT YOUTH GROUP ACTIVITIES.
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 1 Cor 6:19
Take good care of the body God has blessed you with by not using substances that will harm it. Be pure in mind, spirit, and body.
5. NO PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION
Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body 1Cor 6:18
Please keep all romantic relationships outside youth group. This is not the time or place for dating, or looking for dates. This behavior can make others feel uncomfortable. Also keep in mind everyone's personal space and some people do not like personal contact. Read rule one again.
6. DO NOT USE FOUL LANGUAGE OR USE GOD'S NAME IN VAIN.
You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name .Exodus 20:7 I think that's self-explanatory.
7. PROVE YOURSELF TO BE TRUSTWORTHY
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless Psalm 84:11
Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices Col 3:9
Take care to be honorable at all times. Don't give anyone a reason to find fault in anything you do.
8. NO PERSONAL THINGS SUCH AS CD PLAYERS, IPODS, CELL PHONES, CAMERAS, ETC. ARE TO BE USED DURING YOUTH GROUP.
Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise ,Eph 5:15
You come to youth group to develop relationships and learn more about God. We cannot be responsible for anything that gets lost or is missing at the end of the night. Be wise stewards of your possessions.
9. TREAT THE CHURCH, YOUTH BUILDING AND EVERYTHING IN IT WITH CARE.
Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins. James 4:17
The use of the church, youth building and everything in it, are all the gift of our generous God who has used people to bless us. Please respect it by caring for it all very carefully. We want to return everything in the condition that we found it. You are not to leave the youth building without permission and other buildings on the church property are off limits. All snacks are to be eaten in the kitchen and you need to clean up after yourselves.
10. HAVE FUN!
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22
Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 1Peter 1:8
We have youth group to share the joy of being part of the family of God so, let's have fun!
